Student Resources

This is my own checklist, and may not be relevant to you depending on your assignment guidelines.

f anyone is reading this, then you may be seeking a well-written resource. I've found that the University's own guidelines, and the department or faculty your course is part of will all have something to say that will broaden your knowledge on the presentation of your work.

If that is not adequate, there is a lovely well-written and and supportive guide compiled by Purdue University's Online Writing Lab.

Each department has its own preference, but if you have a choice, MLA is the simplest. My first University subjects were in Ancient History, so I started off with Harvard style. However, since I started studying English, I realised the MLA style does away with footnotes.
